Is it Butt Paste? My friend got about 85 tubes of that at her baby shower the other day! Do they have diaper rash? Eww.

body butter.... i forget - they sell it at REI though, the package has a lot of purple on it.

there are several brands too - body glide is another one. Look in running stores if your not near an REI.

lyra - you're talking about Boudreaux's Butt Paste. My 3 of my kids have had the butt paste on the booty. Stuff works.

hmmm, d/k man - seems like it might - the purpose is to decrease friction.

But, i might try some special socks - not really like liner, but lately i've been wearing super tight, two layer socks for running and they seem to work pretty good. The friction occurs between the two layers and not on my feet.

In my Trek days, I used chamois butter or runners lube - both are great, but I prefer runners lube.

chamoise butter to prevent, desitan for if you get chafed. I LOVE DESITAN!

Not so sure about this for blisters but check out the book, "Fixing your Feet". Awesome advice, haven't had a blister for years, cept for that one 72 hour hike in the damp and sand and well..that was to be expected. There are many techniques and different methods probably work best for each individual.

One of tips that works really well for me is to wear two liner socks. Turn the one closest to your skin inside out. This prevents the seam from rubbing across your toes.

Happy blister free hiking!
