Young bears PISS ME OFF!

This morning started off nicely until I saw



it ended with me chasing the SOAB toward the happy campers at the Interstate State Park which shares the woods with me...hee hee hee

Moral of the story: Make the protective collars strong enough for the bear to stand on and graze. That way the weight of the diner does not bend the support post.

I just walked out to the edge of the woods and yep, there was the bear...so, I got dressed, again, to go chase him away. When I got near I realized this bear was WAY smaller than the other...I decided mama had to be nearby so kissed my bird feeder station goodbye rather than risk getting hurt...

Geez...and my in-laws complained that they had to give up their bird feeding station because of racoons!!! They'd absolutely freak out if they had a bear show up. I always love your stories, Mata!

Heh heh it's funny that you mention that because that sort of thing happens here in Jersey on a regular basis. Many towns require you to keep your trash cans inside the garage or a locked shed for that very reason...

I didn't know bears liked bird seed.
