Our weekend at the lake was great! The weather was beautiful and we had a good group of people. There's talk of making this a semi-annual event. I'm all for it!

You're welcome! We had a good time.

I'm not sure that anyone in the history of TT has ever returned from a trip and posted pictues so quickly! Those sunset pictures were beautiful!

Yes, it was an AWESOME time. Thank you very much for everything you did for us Stomper and Fifthmaster.

Great views, great food, and most important, GREAT company. I feel so fortunate to have found such a great group of people...crazy people who like to walk in the woods with all their stuff...or drive up in their boat with all their stuff, whichever! :)

It was nice to finally meet all of you! Fifth and Stomper, thank you sooooooo muuccchhh for your hospitality!!! You guys went beyond overboard! I will even forgive Dave for not being here in Ohio this morning cooking steak and eggs when I awoke to go to work! ;-) Mariposa hopefully Kodie (sp) and yourself have taken care of the Ode de fishy smell! Looking forward to doing it again.

Souvenir Aroma
Yes, Kodie had quite a time. After a double shampoo (different shampoos!) every now and then I still can catch a subtle souvenir aroma from the Late Summer Blast on her.

I do have to say all the fish bathing and lake swimming really tired her out. She hasn't gotten out of her bed this evening. Didn't even ask to go for walk!

Chin - it was worse than Mugsy I think because it was an invisible aroma so it was easy to forget if you were a couple of feet away. But you quickly remembered at 1 foot! :)

What a wonderful way to finish off Summer. Thanks to Dave, Luke & Stomper for everything. It was great. I just can't think of one thing that I did not like about this hike/trip. However, I will tell anyone who asks that it was awful, because if word gets out, we'll have way toooo many people attending next year. You might have to call it "Camp Culinary Between the Lakes". Thanks again. Next up, ice camping on Kentucky Lake!

Bugs & bites
Okay.. now this is a bit delicate. Here I sit on Wed., noticing the hundreds of tiny, red bumps on my lower body. I even discovered a tick today.. now this is not good, and I would hope it happened in the woods, and not my home ( possibly Berniedawgs Ford Taurus). Has anyone else discovered this malidy.. can you say "water fleas"? I'm sure I'll live, but just checking with my fellow swimmers.

NG's red spots are from the rock that exploded in the fire and went down her shirt! She was screaming in pain and laughing at the same time! I didn't know whether to laugh or help dig the little fire rocks out!

Somebody needs to write the trip report.

Mohitas
Let's don't forget the Mohitas, as our Sat. evening pre-meal cocktail, which we had right after our swim. Which brings me back to my damn red spots. Chili I don't believe these are chiggers. Any other thoughts? It's comforting to know that Windigrrl is finding them, in a backward sort of way.. sorry Windi. I hope they go away. I wish it was as easy as NG setting her boobs on fire ( her words, not mine) at least that was funny. Oh well. I still had a great time.

And let us not forget the strawberry margaritas while in the water.
The red spots are in the same area as NGB's burn. I don't think I would have gotten chiggers there and not anywhere else. I'm with golfhiker in that I think it was something in the water.

They are chiggers. I have them and I have had them hundreds of times while stationed at Ft. Benning. They suck, but they usually go away after about 4 or 5 days.

I've had chiggers before, more times than I like, but these don't look like chigger bites. But I've never had chigger bits in this area of my body before. lol

Sounds like chiggers to me as well.

I had then in areas that we not exposed after hiking at Mammoth Cave one year. Used an entire bottle of nail polish on various portions of my legs.
