“The way we used to do it..get it to bite a stick and then crack it in the head with a baseball bat. Cut along the bottom and top shell to separate. Cut out any read meat you can find and any of the organs you want to eat. We would fry the meat in bacon grease leftover from breakfast. Good eatin.”

I have not done it but I have seen it done. pretty cool.

I used to find a thick stick and put it in the mouth then pick it up by the tail and put it in the cage. they are very cool animals. they like to dog holes and hide”

A snappers shell is bone and full of marrow that is very hard to get out. And drying it caused the bones to curl and separate...impossible to glue back together..
