Crash...these are the reasons he left the 6 albums up:

“Mataharihiker, the last six albums left are only snapshots with the digital point & shoot I got free in October. Those photos cost nothing. No film cost, no developing cost, no scanning cost, and no camera cost as opposed to the photos taken down which did come at a price. Also, a lot of time and effort went into researching and describing each of those deleted albums and individual photos. And for the saturation not up to Buck's or Windwalker's, keep in mind what you saw are old prints from cheap developing that were scanned. If I took the original negatives and had them scanned today the saturation would be on par.

“Hey folks .. I fixed the right side bar, so that should be working. I'm sorry about the annoying ads ... I set those up so if you're logged in fully, you should never see them anywhere, they are more for the casual surfer that happens on the site.

As far as missing posts, basically Matt was dumping the entire database into a file for us every 2 hours, so from the moment we took that file, every post after that to the old server is still on the old one. I don't think there is a way to recover those, but it should only be a few hours, maybe most of that day for some, since DNS providers started sending you all to the new site at different times. Sorry for the long message, I'd do a conference call if I can could :0)”
