yeah, what Roamy said. Don't even think about kilting with me on belay. Can you say free solo?

speaking of free solo, the July edition of Clmbing had a nice little feature on the Gunks, including a pic of Tim Kemple free soloing High Exposure. Yikes!

I need a rock fix bad. I got sick out in Seattle so tomorrow might be out. It's supposed to be wet this week so Wednesday, Crazypace and I might do the rock gym. Thursday at Allamuchy weather permitting perhaps? Saturday, I am helping EarthNsky move but Sunday is open.

I tried out a new crag in Boulder Canyon over the weekend and hooked in with a new climbing partner new to the area as well!

We were at Happy Hour Crag - well documented on mountainproject.com

How fortunate, that's great.
I think it's so cool that you climb with your kids.

Keep on exploring all that rock in your backyard.

I'm going to have to come out and visit someday.

Name the date - I'll make time.

I'm planning that by next summer, i'll be competent to a level where I can go alpine in Rocky Mtn NP - there's some goooooood remote trad alpine stuff out there.

Planning to go up that way with a guy from here this weekend in fact - maybe not in the Park, but up thataway on some trad routes. :)

Bring that other bonehead with ya and we'll find a fourth out here, or bring Crazypace as well....

if we did it in June, the monsoon pattern probably won't have started and we'll have better weather - maybe.
