Surviving the Pasayten Wilderness “Here is an article that I wrote with photos that was rejected by Backpacker, but you can read it here for fun anyway. It is a very cool hike that I had with my cousin, an F 16 Pilot, in a wilderness area in the North Cascades in Washington State last August, 06. Surviving the Pasayten Wilderness: A F-16 Pilot’s Backpack Trip Turns Educational “It was the worst day of my life. Holed up under a fir tree at dusk, we had just finished forty-eight hours of evading in the rain. My body was literally shaking from the cold,” he said while we listened to the story around the campfire." The Pasayten is wild country. Where exactly in the Pasayten were you?” 10:24:45 AM 6/25/07 Paysaten “Just beyond Slate Peak. This is really an easy hike. I've done the same hike about 12 times over the years.” 11:33:30 PM 7/01/07
