I should have known better..

“Well... "The girl" and I took a drive with the dog to Poe Paddy Mountain railroad tunnel, part of the Mid-State Trail in PA. the abandoned tunnel cuts through the mountain to the tune of 150 feet or so. It is an exceptionally easy walk, even with the Mt. Bikes that are allowed to use that section of the MST.

She decided it would be fun to take the dog in Penn's Creek for a swim. I was foolish enuf to agree and allow it. I am not sure which one smelled worse, the girl... or the dog... It was tough to tell on the way home. Then "The Girl" got cold so we needed to turn on the heat a little in the car. Which of course boosted every thing.

She has changed her clothes and is off at church. The dog still stinks, although he is drier than he was on the way home. They had fun. But I should have known better.”

“I don't care how long time a poster radagast might be, he probly got the name from the same place we did. Radigast the Brown is a wizard character in Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. He does not appear in the movies, so if you haven't read the books the name will not be familiar.”

Spindlette... I never said "girls stink after swimming in the creek..." I said "The Girl" did... and that was _her_ observation. Of course the green scum on the water in the weeds by the edge may have contributed to that.

A good airing out of the car did wonders. Radigast is fine now. But I know he will refresh the next time he gets wet. So I am looking forward to that. >:?/

I had a worn out pair of slippers that got dunked in Pine Creek one time. I fianlly had to throw them out after that because they became so rank they would even overpower the stench from my feet. Not a good thing.”
