“unlike you, cb, i have lots of friends here who ive hiked with many times over the years. i believe the number is hovering around 140-150. and now im not going to see any of them for a whole year, which sucks, because many of them mean more to me than many members of my own family. hell, they are my family. they are some of the brightest, nicest, most giving, and fun people on the planet, and i hate that i cant hang out with them on the trail for the next year, so i try to compensate for it by hanging out here as much as possible before and after i go to work. you may not appreciate my sense of humor, but many of them know me and do.

First off, one logs on to a site & selects a username, in my case Wanderer. Then you post whatever it is you post, and everyone knows "that's you".

So (and I've asked this a number of times in the past), why do you then pretend to be someone else? (a troll), What's the idea there??? Do you NOT want anyone to know what you really think???

So now we have this situation... someone who creates a troll, BUT NOW TELLS EVERYONE WHO THE TROLL IS?

I'm sorry, but none of this makes any sense whatsoever to me?

Crash, a couple questions if you don't mind:
(1) what's your purpose in creating a troll? Why don't you just post whatever you want as Crash Bang? Why do you need to create a fictitious character?
(2) Why tell everyone who your fictitious character is? Seems to me that kills every possible reason for having a fictitious character to begin with?
