For many on the right, it isn't simply a matter of "bringing up Clinton", it's more akin to obsession. (You need only read some of the fuego posts on this site...can I get an LOL?) I can't believe Nixon isn't brought up MORE. Let's face it - it's hard to argue with the fact that Nixon, with his illegal wiretaps, burglaries, spying on enemies by the FBI, an 18½ minute gap, "dirty tricks", obstructing justice, hush money, etc., set the gold standard for criminal activities in the White House.

“Fred Thompson plans to drop his presidential bid, FOX News learned Tuesday.

Thompson has begun calling friends, family members and supporters to tell them his campaign is over. He left Nashville Tuesday afternoon for McLean, Va., where he is expected to make an announcement about his campaign as early as Tuesday night.

The former Tennessee senator and actor has not won any early primary or caucus contests and finished third in the South Carolina primary Saturday.
