“i thought the controversy that sarah silverman got into was funny. she was talking about getting out of jury duty. some chinese fellow was the defendant, and she said she should say something racist like "i hate chinks", so that she could get dismissed. and then there was this big uproar about it, people were calling her racist. but how could she be a racist if she first says "this is a racist thing to say"

“I don't think they prosecute jurors for lying...we had a case here where we were hearing a murder for hire case.

The black suspect had held a shotgun to the head of a wife (her hubby had hired her) and blew her brains all over their 6 year old child. He showed zip zero NADA in remorse...even going so far as to brag about what he did.

At the trial he is convicted...then the war starts ONLY ONE juror (who strangely had just moved from Atlanta) was against the death penalty. His excuse,"I can't give the death penalty to a black man, he has no malice in his heart."

Now the jurors are asked in the screening if they have a problem with giving the death penalty...he lied (heck I think he admitted lying).

Personally...I will do anything I can to GET on a jury...I am gonna get struck but I want to be there to try the Prosecution's side in the Juror room... Or if it looks like we will get the IDIOT factor...LOL...throw a chair through a window and get a mistrail declared.”
