Red's Meadow and Yarts
Sorry if this has been asked previously. Is there anywhere that I would be able to spend the night near where I would get the shuttle? Since the shuttle only comes by in the morning I will need to stay as I will get into Red's late in the day. Any help is really appreciated.

Which Shuttle? and Where? Mammoth? There's a campground in Mammoth and plenty of accomidations.

I am planning on being at Red's Meadow on Thursday and plan on catching YARTS on Friday. The shuttle leaves Mammoth Mountain Inn at 7:00AM.

So I need to be somewhere very close to the inn in order to catch the shuttle. Should I just book a room for Thursday night?

That's what I would do unless you want to camp at the CG in town. There is an Inn right there where the shuttle takes off but I bet it's pricey. Really anywhere in mammoth should be fine if you don't mind taking a cab.

Look at the YARTS schedule, then pick a motel or CG where it stops. We reserved a room at the motel, and I think it was $129 or so.

Karen,

I went ahead a booked a room at Mammoth Mtn. Only $95. Not bad for a shower and a real bed. The next day I am meeting my husband for 7-day car/boat camping so the one night in between sounds really good.

Does YARTS stop at Mammoth Mountain? (Too lazy to look it up..........) Would be good to save $34.
