At home we smoke verrry strange thing, but not canteloupe.

Beside, american not have real canteloupe anyway.

I have a recipe from Bon Appitie magazine for ribs with grilled corn and cantaloupe but I haven't tried it yet.

There's a variation on prosciutto wrapped cataloupe that involves putting the ham wrapped slices over a smoky fire for a little while. I saw it on a food network program about a month ago. You could search the foodtv database for it.

Heck, it's not that I really care about drug use, it's just way beyond my understanding the specifics of it....fer instance, I tried snorting Coke for a few days...then somebody says..."No dummy, COKE don't come in CANS!"

prosciutto <> "smokey ham"

Prosciutto e Melone is a classic Italian antipasto. The melon... cantaloupe specificaly... it's a sin to use honeydew in my opinion... and it must be in season, ripe, juicy, and sweet. The best prosciutto to use is Prosciutto di Parma, in my opinion... sliced paper thin, salty, and also sweet as would be any good prosciutto.
