Michael Vick
I live in Atlanta Ga home of the Atlanta Falcons Michael Vick is a great football player but if he is found guilty of dog fighting I hope they throw the book at him It is dispicaple for anyone to fight dogs or any animal Animals do what they are tought to do I feel that is a dispicable act They should throw him in a pit with a dog that is tought to fight for his life and Michael begs to get out What are your opinions

Well WHY don't ya go to the www.thebackpacker.com/grammarwussie/thread....

Oh wait there is no such thing...

Don I agree...I am sorry but regardless of the "I didn't know" crap he is responsible. If what I am hearing is true he needs a lifetime ban just like Pete Rose (what Pete did was significantly less in my opinion).

the difference being, what pete did had the potential to be directly detrimental to baseball

what vick did was only image-damaging to the nfl, the real victims are those dogs

im all for throwing the book at this motherfucher, however

My guess is they will hang around for what the NFL does to him. He may serve the next 2 years in prison, then be banned for life from the NFL because he bet on the fights.

He needs to be proven guilty of that first though.

If they nailed him under the RICO statute, he'd be gone a looooooooong time.  His kids would be in the NFL when he got out.

Rot in PRISON A$$HOLE!!!!
If he's sentenced over a year it's PRISON, a year or under it's jail.

WK, he is admitting guilt they don't have to prove anything.

I think he has just fessed to the dog killing, not the actual betting.

There is a big difference between the 2 charges when it comes to the NFL. While the killing of animals is serious, I think the league is more concerned about the gambling. If they find him guilty of this, and he may have already confessed to this, he will most likely never set foot on another NFL field again.

No doubt the guy's lack of education attributed to his poor decision making.

I'm not sure I buy that Rosey. I not a lot of people without much education who make great decisions in every day life (not going further in school wasn't one of them, lol). I also know some very educated, perhaps overly educated, whose decision making skills suck at best. I'm guessing he just suffers from the pampered athlete syndrome.

Yeah, Rosey, you can say anything, lol.

I spent 7 active duty years and 10 retired years in the Tidewater area of Virginia. Where Vick grew up is pretty rough, but you still gotta be responsible for your choices.

Michael Vick got a slap on the wrist for killing those puppies. Poor defenseless dogs. I mean if he had aborted a human life I could understand the leniency, but not a puppy.

Oh wait. Aborting a human baby is not a crime.

No, but murdering a woman carrying a fetus carries a double murder charge.

I've got a Big Ol' NY Strip set for tomorrow night.  Woo Hoo --- Ever try that Hot Allegro marinade?  It'll do a killer burn Tuesday night, and sixty years down the road.  I wonder if the Pentagon will eventually reclassify it as a munition....

I heard an interesting comment on Vick today on a sports show. Apparently they were talking that Vick literally came from the "projects" and within 2 years he was making millions.

The guy mentioned the "thug mentality" which is sadly seen in most of the low income societies is something that pushes this almost total lack of conscience or compassion.

Apparently he mentioned other football players who had done 4 years of College ball and then really had to work to make it on the team. As a result they were separated from the Thug mentality for a few years. Vick never had that chance. He was able to pay for his Posse to follow him.

It makes sense in a way. Not an excuse but a warning.

LOL...if he was a conservative black the NAALCP would be calling for his head.

Sorry that is a dead racist organization...their entire operation is BLACK SUPERIORITY which is why I classify them Racist.

heck I say let him come back...and let it be known that the refs will NOT be calling any roughing calls on the defense in any of his games...>(LOL)
