The DNR is compiling a list with the names of people that call in, asking that the campground remain open!

Just call and say you wish for the Pinney Bridge SFCG, to remain open.

I just spoke with Jim and he states that Pinney Bridge is closed and what that means is that we cannot even hike into it and camp. They can pose a civil infraction on you if you get caught. (I guess they have money to patrol illegal campers but not money to maintain the whole thing.)
He also stated that there is not much he can do but who knows? Maybe they will all reconsider in October.

The paper pushers in the State capital look at figures. If the figures are there, funding will be. If figures aren't there, funding won't be. They can patrol illegal campers because if someone gets hurt on site they can face a lawsuit. If you get caught then, oh well... shouldn't be there in the first place. No liability. You'd think it would work the other way around but for some reason or other, it doesn't.
