Ok, here's another problem. I am 6'4" tall so finding gear that fits (light weight) is extremely difficult. Most of the stuff I have is either too short in the sleeves and torso or it is way to big in girth. Are there any of you that have this problem and did you find gear that fits better? I want to get a wind shirt and after shopping around I think the manufactures think us big guys are pack mules and don't care about weight. Well, thanks for any input

I'm 6'3" and 210lbs. I don't have too much trouble with shirts, but pants are a beach for me. Especially ones under $80 for extra long custom taylored. I'm thinking about making more and more of my own clothes so I have the features and materials that I want in something that really fits right. I may just open my own gear company. Who wants to be my gear testing guinea pigs?

I thought of starting a tent company years ago. I had a few designs I drew up for a hybrid between a single wall and a tent with rain fly design. It is just hard to find tents when you are this tall. About two years after I drew them up, and didn't build them, it seemed as if everyone came out with tents like my ideas.
If you want to do that I would say go for it. If nothing else, you will have gear the way you want it, that fits like you want it. BTW, I'll "torture test" some if you want.
