August Photo Assignment

“The next subject for a photo assigment was chosen by Ewker, the participant who received the most thumbs up from our previous assignment.
He has assigned us the challenge of shooting "Tree(s) in Fog or Clouds".

Submissions will be accepted until Friday, August 31st, at which time the gallery will be turned on for comments.
Don't post your entries in this thread, rather, send your submissions as email attachments to: thebackpacker.photos@frontiernet.net


Rules, as before are; Photo must have been taken after August 6th, 2007 (The date of this posting). If you can't resize it, I'll resize it for you, but they will be displayed at a maximum size of 800 pixels along the longest axis (note the larger pixel count for this go-round. I thought 600 pixels was a bit small for most displays). Please don't send any files larger than 1 or 2 mb in size at the largest. Only one submission per person, please.

Send your photos along with your Trailtalk name, date photo was taken, a caption, and any other information you would like to include. I will post them in a new gallery on my web site, the same as before, with only the caption displayed until after the comment period is over with.”

“I looked but closet I could get was going outside in a rainstorm. I think this time of year fog in trees is pretty much exclusive to the Smokies. Too bad the contest wasn't for a sunset. I'd be in like Flynn.”

“Does the fog have to be taken this month? How about in the last 3 months? I have some spectacular pics of fog over red river at sunrise. But they were taken in June.”

“songbyrd, I went to Canada earlier this month. Heading out to this weekend to do some on the AT.

I am doing well, how about you. I saw you had a slight problem, did it turn out ok”

Still turning but improving.I'm seeking specialists outside of my Med plan now.

I'm going to do a small piece of the JMT this weekend. It'll be a test but one I'm willing to take. It will help me in my possitive healing process.”

“Sorry guys.... I've had a busy month. I've been a bit lax in getting things organized. I'll try to get the page up and photos posted this weekend. I don't think there are many entries, only a couple as I recall. But what the heck, we'll put them up anyway.”
