GREAT SHOW
This show kicks butt!!!

Chris Ryan is the a former SAS member who escaped in Iraq and walked 200 miles in the Iraq desert which is the longest escape and evasion in SAS history.

So the show is that Chris has a mission to retrieve some hidden "equipment" or a downed pilot or some other task then go to a pick up point and while doing this he has to evade a team of 4 ex special forces (British SAS, 2 Seals and I forget the last guy) that can have help, so they are in radio contact with a team that helps them, Chris has no help, he carries a hand held camera and narrates his thoughts and plans.

They all have GPS locating beacons on them so they show maps and the tracks and show how close they are or how far apart. Smartly done.

It is a great show and very exciting. This guy is for REAL!!!

I lost interest after the first five minutes. Maybe it got better.

The book Bravo 20 tells the story of their escape from Iraq. I don't know how they ever made it out alive and sane.

According to the opening of the show, only one guy made it out. The other seven didn't make it.

That's right, I forgot. I think one died and the others were captured.

Add Live Ammo
...and a willingness to kill, and it loses all the fun.....trust me....

It does give civilians insight into tactics and mindset of special operations people, but there is no way to present the reality of these situations in a TV Show.....

I turned it on in the middle of the Siberia episode and turned it right off but watched the Honduras and had to stay up to watch the Botswana episode.

Nigal 2 died (of hypothermia) and 1 was captured and brutally tortured.

ST-Chris (notice I am on a first name basis with him) explained your point last night. Even for him he said there is a great difference when 1600 people are looking forward to killing you as opposed to 4 guys and him in a battle of skill. He talked about what a great motivator fear was and the advantages of adrenaline.
