NC Peak bagging Day hike

“Day hike from Mt. Mitchell State Park to Carolina Hemlock Recreation area on Saturday the 18th. This Saturday!Approximatly 8 rugged miles. Average daytime highs in the 70's.”

“have fun.. that is one of my favorite hikes. I like starting from Bolens Creek and hiking up to Mitchell and then down to Black Mountain Campground, or even better yet, continue along the crest over Hallback, Gibbs and Blackstock Knob and into Balsam Gap.”

“We are doing a weekender there weekend after next. Would you be interested?”

“I'd love to, but I have plans that weekend.

Mt. Mitchell is one of my personal favorites though.”

“I'll give ya gas money Gem. I need at least one more to show up, there's not a shuttle service anywhere to be had.Govmentmule is going with me but two of us would look funny on his scooter!
