Stew to the rescue !

“So, I'm walking down the street after lunch today and I'm about 100 yards from the ER entrance when I see a security guard following a dude out of the ER and into the street. I was watching them because the situation didn't look normal. Next thing I know, the dude turns around and starts fighting with the guard...in the street!

All the traffic comes to a stop. Being the good hospital employee that I am, I take off running to help the guard. ( Don't forget it's friggin 100F outside ) I get there and grab the dude by the arms and he lets go of the guard. The guard spins around and grabs his arms from me and gets the guy down on the ground. That's when the calvary shows up and a crowd of guards pin the dude to the ground and hand cuff him. At this point I'm totally covered in sweat and wearing a dress shirt and tie isn't helping matters any! Finally, everyone goes back into the ER and the lunch adventure is over.

I'm rather disappointed...I was hoping to jack the dude up before the security force got there. LOL

Actually, it's a common situation in ER's everywhere. We haven't installed metal detectors yet but I hear it being discussed all the time.
