well you could always out your finger over the hole, or I bet you have some tape around there, though I for one would always prefer fingers on my straw over tape. Especially ductape. There will be no Ductape on my straw!

Yeah, but did you try duct tape?

Another suggestion - cut the straw at the hole.

Another suggestion - get a new straw.

I don't want the details about what you have had Ductape fix for you SS.

Just put your finger in the hole CG. Trust me it will work for you. ;-)

Cut the straw just above or below the hole, and just use the longer piece.

Bend the straw into a "V" shape, making the new hole the base of the "V".

I think we are overlooking the obvious (LOL) blame it on Bush, demand Edwards or Hillary set up a government program to ensure better straws...(LOL)Or Blame it on China.

Nah, Crazy is too independent for that....she will solve it in her usual style and with the usual class. (LOL)

by the by...um how did the hole get there in the first place.....?

Geeez Louise...I knew I could count on you guys for some wonderful advice...

hole is to low to cut of straw...can't reach the other end if I do that!

Melting is a great idea...no matches.

Duct tape...do ya have to use duct tape for EVERYTHING???

I actually tried to suck out of the "problem" hole...to see if I could get enough suction but it was too big!

WHAT am I trying to get out of the straw? Nothing now...there is a hole in it!

Can't you flip it over?

You know I have heard of all kinds of flow disorders once you pierce your straw. I would recomend avoiding pierced straws in the future.
meangreen

hole is in the middle of the straw...if I cut it off below the hole...the straw will be too short.

BTW...I tried the flip firs thing!

OH..and it is root beer in the cup. I gave up on the straw and just drank it...wasn't as fun but oh well...yall had me laughing by butt off.

Got any other problems we can solve?

dumbasses, just cut enough off the short end so that when you plunge the straw into the wetstuff that the hole is in the fluid. Now you can drink until the fluid level is below the hole once more. Repeat until you have cut off all of the hole beneath the hole and can no longer get your mouth over the shaft. At this point you can discard the vessel and its remaining contents. Or if the vessel is not disposable and you have foolishly made a permanent commitment to it, then you will just have to quit waste time with the two short equipment and put your mouth to use on the lip of the vessel.

Golf Balls through Garden Hoses....

Look, just replace the whole dang apparati if ya can't engineer a repair to a single component...

"Uneconomical to repair"

Figure this: Cost of NEW Apparati (also consider the tax advantages = to capital improvements)as compared to the cost of repair material + Manhour repair costs + Loss of productivity calculations.

probably not a valid deduction but consider the total loss of productivity of all th posters here that are consulting on repair of equipment that is not within their purview....

BACK TO WORK, SLACKERS!
