Unless they have changed something in the last few months, you won't need a canister. Just hang your food in a tree. You will have more problems from mice and porcupines than from bears.

I called a ranger buddy to get the latest info on any on bear problems, but no one home. I'll try again tomorrow,

A neat spot to camp at Snag Lake is the NE end, near the lava flow. There are several cool spots from the campsite shown on the map to the lava flow it self. Huge sandy beaches (especially with low water) and usually no one else around. Great place to lay around in the sun.

I would love to join ya for an evening cocktail, but my doctor would take my head off. I have to have knee surgery in the next month or so. Right now I don't walk so good, LOL.

Where were you going in from? Perhaps I could meet ya on the way out.
