Hey if you get to feeling better in the next 6 hours or so, call me and you can meet me down here and we can ride on down together. (Or you could go drinking in the famous racing bar with me and the hotties. Kelly's 10th st. pub. Known to be a racecar drivers hang out. Maybe we can get mouthy with some of them and challenge them to a street race with my stock 3.1L Grand Prix. LOL!)”

“Trip Report

Thriftyhiker, UPluver, Oldog, Bosco, and myself meet-up at the Blackwell TH at 10am. The weather couldn’t have been better for hiking this weekend. I’ve been down there many times hiking through the mud. We made good time hiking down the trail to Saddle Creek, and took a quick break. Saddle Creek was actually dry this time which I’ve never seen before. We took a little side hike to Patton Cave, and checked that out for awhile. Thriftyhiker ventured back in quite a ways, and then soon returned. We hiked on out to the end of the Peninsula Trail, and made camp. It was early afternoon, and that worked out good. We all set-up camp, and then spent the rest of the afternoon lounging by the lake, and just hanging out. Saturday night we had a good camp fire going, along with talk of past trips, and future trips we all wanted to go on. Upluver, and myself put a pretty good dent in the jug of Bourbon he brought along. :-) Sunday we took our time breaking camp, and got back to the cars around noon. We made a lunch stop at the Log Cabin Restaurant, and Thriftyhiker had the biggest tenderloin sandwich I’ve ever seen. He didn’t even finish it. Amateur!

A good time was had by all.
