great shots man!

They use those old trucks for tourist transport - instead of busses.

Red Jammers are the tour buses they use in the park. Originally they had manual transmissions and you could hear the drivers jamming the gears going up the Sun Road. Yellowstone is getting yellow buses like them next year.

Those pics are amazing. My pictures never seem to actually reflect the beauty I'm seeing, but you did that very well. Thanks for sharing.

Dub beat me to it. I'll try to have my set up later and post here. It's odd that getting pics ready takes longer than the trip itself......

Yeah, on Flickr if you look at the top there should be an icon that says all sizes and you can blow them up. You might have to be logged in with Yahoo to see that option though, not anything I can control.

It is crazy how the post-processing takes longer than the trip. Good thing I had jury duty...

I'm working right now.....shhhhhhh

How long does it take before you STOP worrying about spilling food on your clothes? I just had a bit of sandwich fall in my lap and immediately thought, "Crap...grizzlies!"

I was using a Pro Digital Polarizer and that's it. The hues come from stacking three exposures.

I still do it from time to time

i hope you guys slept in different clothes than what you dined/cooked in

Nope. My platy busted open and poured fruit punch down me and my backpack, I rinsed myself and the pack off in a stream, slept in the clothes and on the pack. I was bearanoid the first day but after that I didn't worry much.
Dub

"bearanoid" thats a good word

did you not have a different set of clothes to sleep in?
crash bang

CB - I did sleep in other cloths but they did not make a big deal out of that. They also saw no issue with having your pack in the tent after hanging your food bag. I would think that food smells would be more of a problem with a pack than cloths.

I hung my pack the first night, but I was the only one. I never saw anyone else hang a pack all week.

I had another set but this was my third trip to grizzly country so I was way more comfortable than the first two times. As long as you don't spill something like tuna on you I think you're okay so long as you cook and eat in another area. If I didn't wash the punch off my clothes and pack I would have slept in something else. I might have not slept in them in Yellowstone either as the backcountry is not as crowded as Glacier's.

Dub, when were you out at Glacier? Synch and I were out Glacier August 30th-Sept. 3rd. We had great weather so no complaining.

I spread my dad's ashes on this trip as well. The river I spread them on:

If you saw a Diesel Benz with National Park WA state plates, you passed us ;-)

Chin, I believe I am the author of that top shot you posted ;-) I think I took that after a 45min recovery from almost dying climbing that monster hill.
