The hubby actually wanted to go camping and had plans to go up on the BRP Friday night. Then we realized that it was Labor Day weekend..so we didn't want to get into that crowd. I'm hoping to hike, probably solo, at some point.”

“Blueberry Massacree and Mt. Rogers then continuing with some blowdown work on BMT in Slickrock area then continuing on somewhere - probably solo in Cranberry - I hope to be gone for 3 weeks”

We brought back some pineapple from Hawaii. I plan to cut it up tomorrow and soak it in Parrot Bay for the deck party we're having on Friday night.

I will go for a dayhike Sunday or Monday. I don't know where yet.”

I'm going to have a nice quiet weekend, mostly alone (after eating an airline ticket to NJ), down at Burr Oak SP. One morning of getting paid to talk about backpacking and the rest is mine. :D

I didn't even realize this weekend is Labor Day until someone at work mentioned it today. Gee.

Launch the CreekCraft above the old Julliette (GA) dam and fire-up the 7.5 Evinrude. Cruise up the Towaliga and Ocmulgee rivers and select a base camp from which to fish (baitcaster, limb hooks, and possibly a trot line), boat, swim, etc.

I'll likely drag the boat ashore in Julliette at the Whistlestop Cafe a time or two... or three.”

“A friend of mine is attempting to hike all of New Hampshire's 4ks (48) in a row ,unsupported, in the shortest possible hiking distance ( about 235 miles) starting Friday. I'll hike along the first few days.

ps: Another friend just set the John Muir Trail record (supported) in 3 days,20 hours.”
