been away for awhile

“Howdy all for those of you that can remember me I've been away for awhile. In case some don't rembember my wife is getting along great and we are 31 weeks in to the pregnancy and we are having a little girl. Currently mother and baby are well and developing good. In fact we just had an ultrasound and could see her nose, lips, eyes. It was so cute to see her breathing and moving around. I can't wait till she's born. We'll be getting her outdoors early in fact we already bought a backpack child carrier (holds up to a 48 lbs kid)

Even though pregnant we did get to go on a vaction this summer in mid July. While it wasn't the Glacier trip like we hoped we made it out to the Badlands, Rushmore, Devils Tower, Yellowstone, and Tetons.

We managed a small overnight backpack trip while in the Tetons to Trapper lake. It was a nice level trail easy for her to hike.
She loves her new light gear and her pack was about 15lbs. When we got out to Trapper lake, basicly below Mt. Moran, we set up camp filtered water and had dinner. Durning the evening we were entertained by a marmot, a female Mule deer (that came 10 yards from camp) and a faimly of elk. While campfires where prohibited we had great weather so it really wasn't necessary.
The hike out the next morning was stunning as Leigh lake was as still as glass making for great photos.

I've also been busy working almost ever other weekend this summer so getting out to the great outdoors have been limited to my bike rides to work to save miles, gas, and keep in shape. I've also been captain on a summer sand volleyball league with new friends from work.

Well Just wanted to say a quick hello and when things settle down hopefully I'll be able to spend a little more time posting again. Till then here are some pictures of our vacation enjoy.
