For the level of computer technology in 1981 that was an amazing video. Very nice.

I'll never forgive Disco for what it did to live music.

I think Marko was an old married guy by the time Disco hit.   The rest of us poor slobs had to put up with that crap because that's where all the girls were.

Some great music came out of the seventies. Ramones are one of my favorites.

Country 70's was pretty cool (but sucks today). The album "Red Headed Stranger" (Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain), Willie, Waylon and the Boys, etc. Who needed disco?

Yes, lots of good music came back in a Godly Effort to KILL Disco, But It Won't Stay Dead.

It has to be nuked wherever it festers!   We must be vigilant.

NPR talked about the decades in music and it seemed that the '70s had more good music than the '60s.

Some of my favorite stuff is from the '60s but they sure made some schlock in that decade.

You're right Spindlette, the '50s was mucho better for country music.
And don't get me goin' on Rockabilly!
I'll betchya Nimble has a pair of blue suede shoes.

Try not to freak out,  LOL  .... there is good Country music in the world; it's just extremely rare to find any being made these days.

I go back to the 'Country Rock' and 'Folk Rock' that was popular before Disco reared it's ugly head.  And what was that other pigeon-hole.... 'Album Rock'?

And of course, some o' that 'Outlaw Country' stuff.  "The Red-Headed Stranger" was the first Willie Nelson I remember hearing.

How's about some Texas Swing or some Jazz Bluegrass?

I have found the 60's to be the most misunderstood decade except by those who lived through it as a decade of passage. The Beatles and other music is idolized while Jerry Rubin and crew are forgotten about. Martin Luther King is misquoted on a routine basis while Abby Hoffman is simply ignored. Maalcolm X had to wait several decades to get a movie made about his life while Young Republicans have all grown old and senile.

I was about three miles from a race riot where several people were killed. The city still bears scars from the destruction wreched upon it by the rioters themselves and the rebuilders who came in to remake the city into their own image. I had friends who went to Nam and never came back, I had friends who went to Nam several times and I had freinds who went to jail rather than go to Nam. I also had friends who went to Canada. Some even had the integrity to stay there instead of accepting amnesty. It was a really mixed up decade.
