Sounds like a plan.. but don't wait for me. I know a route that bypasses purgatory and is supposed to give me the best views I can imagine. Plus the water don't need to be treated.

Can't say I'm in a hurry, but can't say I am overly concerned. But then I met a guy who been there and come back to give a great trail report. Gave me the guidebook too... so I guess I'll just hike along and follow the blazes.”

“If I understand correctly the Charon does not ferry the dead to "Hell" but rather to Hades or the underworld. While Christians commonly hold Hell to be the same thing I do not find the commonality others claim is there. In other words... to me Hades and Hell are _not_ the same.

Encyclopedia Mythica has a very interesting discussion of the River Styx Spirit Coyote... you would most certainly not want to swim in it according to that discussion.
