Back in those days if you didn't flaunt it and had a clean camp they ignored it. I would just discreetly put it down somewhere out of sight. Had more than one sit around the camp and chat.

As far as these road blocks everyone keeps talking about I have never seen one.”

“that jacket is a favorite of mine for cold weather. i wear it on a regular basis, not just hiking. i have the synthetic fill one as well but have never used it.

the down inner jacket is a great insulation layer and i wear a dryducks jacket over it when it gets really cold.

the jacket, wrapped around your neck in a sleeping bag, basically makes for a great draft collar. it really works. i guess any jacket would do this but this one is very light and a high fill down so i am betting it works especially well in this capacity.”

“I have the same jacket and it's great. Problem is that it seldom gets cold enough to use it.”
