crash, when it comes to holding them accountable for specific acts, when did conservatives not want to prosecute them as individuals? The point is, in general, muslims are taught that certain acts like rape, beheadings, etc., are okay to do. When they happen, we say go after the individuals, otherwise, blame the culture. In the war situation, we've said to go after the people in charge. If we bomb Iran, we'll bomb the weapon and military facilities.

In the suburbs, the culture is wrong - we say "teach the kids to do the right thing". When an individual act is committed, we say "punish that individual".

The Hudood laws criminalize, among other things, rape, adultery and fornication, and prescribe punishments for these offenses that include stoning to death and public flogging. Asia Watch and the Women's Rights Project do not object to laws founded on religion, provided that human rights are respected and the principle of equality before the law are upheld.
