I have seen bears in the wild but in the saftey of my home.

I think had I seen a bear and he came to the car like in this onr did, im not sure how I would react. my brain says drive drive fast, but my nature would say stay and see what it would be like to get that close. being that it was in an area that is known for bears to do that, i prob would have felt safe. yes a very very stupid thing to think and feel.

bears need to be a little afraid of us. we need to a little more respectful of the damage they can do. what if that had been a more aggressive bear? the bear was very close before the dad pulled his head back in the car and rolled up the window. what if it had been a grizzly? they were lucky it was neither

They put themselves in danger of the bear, and the bear in danger of possibly having to be "removed" if he gets too comfortable with humans and becomes a nuisance.
