I would rather plan on gloom and doom and have the weather turn out delightful, than plan on delightful and have to fight off wildbillwhen he trys to get warm by combining body heat.”

Dude! That will never happen,.......you snore too loud.

Packing right now. BTW I picked up 1 bushel of Lockwood Folly oysters. They are kinda small but they should be good. I also grabbed 3 lbs of shrimp, it's not a lot but should be enough for everyone to eat a few.

I'm gonna miss you guys.

We had a few inches of snow here in Balt/Wash area and a touch of rain and it's gonna freeze.

On a good night it's still 400 miles to Fridge's house.
I just talked to him and told him that I was bailing out.

Shine on, with all that shine and great food!

The moon is getting full............should be nice Saturday night.........nice and cold.

Well the strawberry shortcake might be in danger but the pecan pie is for all of you, I don't like it.

Spam, not worried about missing yall, just trying to decide if I should bring the 2wd pickup or my 4Runner which gets much worse mpg's.

whats all this concern about a lightweight pack? We are only going 1 1/4 mile. I am fat, old and out of shape and I think I can make it down the hill in a couple hours. Might take me most of teh day to get back up

I guess many of you participants in this hike have already departed to get there. Have fun.

Another snow is developing for Friday night and Saturday there to go with the fresh but frozen-slushy several inches from yesterday and by Saturday night very cold, windy conditions are expected.

I would get off exit 100 on 40.make a right and take that (jamestown rd)to 181 to 183.

Well fellas.
Thursday morning was the first time my daughter has seen snow and it's supposed to snow in Charlotte again on Saturday too so I think I'd rather play in the snow with my daughter.

Catch you next go 'round.

I've been waiting 3 years for enough snow to sled in Cades Cove.

I better take the opportunity when it gets here......IF it does.

And, I don't really want to have to come back across the mountains Sunday if it snowed.
