“wednesday is supposed to be 80 degrees here. Todays high is supposed to be 76. Tomorrow I have a meeting 2 hours away. Normally I would use the company car and save the gas money, but I am thinking of driving the Honda Shadow 500 Wildbill just sold me.”

“Hey Yota,I didn't know you were from Newbern. I love that town.We were there several years back for a Scottish Festival and Parade.”

“Glad you like it. I hate it, no outdoor places to shop, no electronic store like BB or CC. Very few places to eat and a real crappy mall. Also way to far from the mountains. But it does have very few traffic jams.
The only good thing that came out of New Bern was my wife.

Ok, I will just use Linville Falls, NC. Pisgah National Forest is a big place and I am not sure if that is the closest place to mapquest.

“Linville Falls is the town closest to the Linville Gorge Creek Dancer and I'm pretty sure that Sweatpea is planning to come.”

“Well I was working near linville and it was very warm high in the 60's but a cold front will be here this week end.”

“Has anyone herd about a Coal fired plant issue within some 60, 70 miles away. This will effect Linville Gorge?”

“Has anyone herd about the Water being NON DRINKABLE there? I remember telling spam this several months ago that I was backpacking with several at Mt Rogers at the Blueberry Massacre trip, and they were telling me the water there had metals in it and it was un safe... I argued with them that I seem no info on this and I have drank from the river several times and even eaten some SPAM TROUT.
On another thread about Nalgene, Plastic bottles etc,... will the Linville Water melt these Plastics?

“frig, I have backpacked with some good ol boys who have been hiking and making shine in and around the gorge for 40 years and they told me nopt to drink the water from the river because of metals from some old plant. The water in the creeks feeding the gorge is fine according to them. I can't find any info on the net about that so I don't know if its true or not”
