Wanted to let you know that GearFest 2008 is coming up Oct. 4 - and it's moving it to Eastwood MetroPark so that Five Rivers MetroParks could expand the event, including more outdoor gear vendors, 2 music stages, river float trips, and free overnight camping for the weekend.

“How'd you do on Saturday? Steady stream of suckers snapped up your old gear, 'til your sittin' pretty with a stack o' cash?”

“Hey! I was one of those suckers! LOL! It was a great time. I stopped by to see Bear and buy some gear. I got a new alci stove, squirt bottle, insulated food pouch and a super light poop scoop/spoon for a good deal. Ol Bear was wheelin' and dealin'.

There were a lot of great exhibits like kayaking, mountain boarding, mountain biking, all the great clubs had booths and I saw enough awesome bikes I don't think my chubby's ever going to go down. I'll post up some pics later.”
