To my wonderful, unselfish, generous Trail Talk friends, THANK YOU!!!! Birch organized the construction weekend on our home. And they did so much!!! There were so many funny moments, but my favorite was when a water pipe was cut which was thought to be dry but wasn’t. It was spraying everywhere from about six feet high. Really wish I had that on video.

Here is who was here:
Birch/Joe
Sass/Joy
Abby
UPLuver/Joe
Mary
Crazy Mike
Spirit Coyote/Nicole
Wounded Knee/Brian

And thanks to Violin (MUCHOS GRACIOS, DUDE!!!) for supplying our beer. Pardon me if I forget any of the selection, but it’s not easy to remember them all. TTers have a special affinity for the stuff I think.

Heineken
Sam Adams Triple Bock
Thomas Hardy’s Ale
Newcastle Brown Ale
Carlsberg
Leinenkugel Octoberfest Lager
Leinenkugel Berry Weiss
Leinenkugel Creamy Dark
Blue Moon
Old Speckled Hen
Point Light
Smithwicks
Samuel Smith Selection Box
Hard Creamer
Mike’s Hard Lemonade

So much got done, and I am sure I will not remember it all:

Installed brand spanking new bad ass furnace—major project
Demoed walls in the basement
Painted five gallons of paint on the brick basement walls
Removed all sorts of unnecessary pipes, wires, and other goofy crap in the basement
Replaced outdoor water faucet
Cleaned gutters
Changed all my door locks
New doorbell and push buttons installed

I know there was more, but I couldn’t keep track of it all.

From the bottom of my heart I thank each and every one of you. It meant so much to me that you all showed up and pitched in. I am really thankful and appreciative. I already knew this, but you guys are the salt of the earth.

Good times....
Just got home and unpacked. Birch and Abby and I had so much fun this weekend. It was a party. Thanks for the wonderful company, great food and soft beds Ruby. You are the hostess with the mostess.

Thanks again Violin for the beer! The Thomas Hardy Ale was some of the yummiest stuff I've ever had. 25 years old and tastes of apples. I highly recommend it.

Hey Violin, I need to do some painting here in Townsend.

I don't plan on bothering the TT'ers, but a couple cases of beer would be OK.

No biggy Ruby, it was fun. Not having been hiking much this year this was a great way to see so many TTers in a wknd. Hardly seemed like work to me. And I got 11 hrs sleep last night, thats like record!!!

And I forgot to mention my favorite memory of all. Crazy Mike rode b!tch with me on my Harley. Does it get any better than that?

Glad the weekend was productive. Its kind of amazing that it was, considering that beer selection!

Hey UP, someone left an electric drill here. I am pretty sure it's not ours, and it isn't Joe's or Rick's. Is it yours?

Huh? It's not Rick's. Whose is it? I have only ever paid attention to Jon's cordless drill, but maybe he has another one. Did anyone grab a drill out of the tool room? Maybe it's his.

I found it lying on the floor in the porch.

Why couldn't it be a gift from the shoe fairy?
