I want to thank mariposa for introducing me to this brand of jerky. It is killer good.

Another fans out there?

I've tried a lot of it. I like the single servings for long distance hiking trips. It's good stuff, but I've noticed that it tends to dry out if you hold on to it for several months.

it's ok. i pick it up at RRG at the shell station once in a while. it is quite good, but the stuff i make at home is easily better.

OK Jimmy, you're on. Bring some of that homemade stuff with ya this weekend.

Of course, Pros prob has some stuff to put ours to shame.

Chin, I would join in on the challenge, but everytime I make it at home, it gets eaten before I can save any to take with me. lol

I tried making jerky at home once. It turned into charcol that even the dog or mike wouldn't eat.

I've never had any lucky making my own either...but since I've discovered Mingua Brothers there is no reason to. I didn't have any with me yesterday and was craving something salty on the trail...MeanGreen came through with a bag of Mingua Brothers Hot!!

Ha ha, that's the real reason I've tried to introduce my fellow hikers to Mingua's...so I can mooch if I've run out! LOL

OMG, I already finished one of the 8-oz bags I received yesterday. I need rehab.....

I volunteer to be the official, unbiased taste tester for the jerky. I will need large quantities of each to run a statistically valid comparison.

Agreed, but what are we going to do about your jerky addiction?

it's pretty good jerky but i have had it before and i really don't see what all the fuss is about. it's just pretty good. it's easy to find better and even easier to make better at home.
