Years ago when I frequented GlockTalk (when I bought my G26), there was this guy there, JLB, who was one of the more skilled people I've seen at getting people (whom he disagreed with on political issues) frothing-at-the-mouth angry at him. He was very intelligent (quick and skilled at writing) and extremely good at pulling up citations to support his views on the spur of the moment. That alone made him a formidable opponent. But, the topper was that he had a huge ego and a special talent for cutting people down - without violating the TOS - in a particularly annoying and personal manner. You just had to see it.

I've seen a few people better than him (that didn't have his emotional achilles heel, for example), and a lot of people beneath his skill, of course. So, he's kind of my baseline for judging people, and compared to him, you're "pretty good": averagely above average intelligence, not bad at pulling citations, and definitely some skill and motivation at being annoying. You're not legendary by any stretch, nor are you simply average.

So there you have it. You now owe me $5 for this ranking service.”
