Fall Photography
Hello Fellow Hikers!

My son and I have just completed an extensive hike in the northern Monongahela forest area of Seneca, Spruce knob and North Fork Mountain.

Wow! what a time we had. North Fork Mountain was excellent. First chance I get I am going back.

I posted about 300 of our fall photos on our website.

http://www.forestwander.com is the main site and http://www.forestwander.com/gallery is the gallery section.

This one could fall under fall colors as well. I was fortunate to just be able to see this sight, let alone have a lens with me to capture it....

Crazygurl your cemetry shot is good, just a little dark.I had the same problem with some shots of the Lake of Two Rivers cliffs.I really wanted them to turn out, since I was dumb enough to scramble down to a small ledge for the photos.

This is the best one,the rest are dark,of course there the ones of the actual cliff ! But I`m new to this and enjoying myself and that`s what matters..(LOL)

LOL...isn't that the truth...the ones we WANT to turn out don't...and the ones that do are often a surprisse. I used to be really good about taking photos to document trips, occasions etc. But now I tend to try to get "the picture!" I need to get back into the documentation part of photog!!!

If I had been on that ledge...I couldn't of moved to TAKE A PHOTO!!!

Marilyn my wife won`t let me do what she calls "stupid things" when she`s with me.
So I do them when she`s not around.

I literally lived in the "bush" growing up and doing "stupid " risky stuff was all part of growing up.I`ve slowed down some as I` ve matured into my 40`s,but there`s still times the "Kid" in me comes out and yah just gotta play.

by the way keep up the pics I`m enjoying them..after all isn`t this website about the joy of the backcountry ?

It`s one of my favourite parks...Like most of my photos it`s Algonquin, can`t remember which lake though.

Algonquin is the closest Provincial Park that has Interior camping,it`s a 5 hour drive from ST.Thomas.We have closer Provincial Parks but they just have regular campgrounds and have a tendency to be over crowded and noisy summer and early fall.

The Pinery near GrandBend is a really nice park, but best avoided until at least the end of October,I generally camp there early spring and late fall.

Thanks crazygurl,I`m running out of fall pics,my digital camera is a new purchase.

This photo is not exactly what you`d call fall photography but it was taken in the fall and you have to admit that`s she`s a lovely shade of orange, which is tecnicaly a fall colour.

I want to get out this weekend too. Tomorrow I'll be at a tractor pull and harvest festival but maybe Sunday! Tell your dad to give the camera back...it is prime shooting season!!!
