Fantastic Fall Foliage- Loyalsock TR (w/ pics)

“Met up for an overnight with a group from NEOH, Patrick, Heather, and Mike on the Loyalsock Trail. The weather was incredible with highs in the 70s, and the foliage breathtaking. A great weekend to be on the trail.

We camped next to a group of seven Mennonite women who were backpacking the trail, they were very nice. They were also hardcore, wearing full dresses and heavy packs. Many of them didn't even have tents and slept out in the open as they had only one tent. It makes you realize how little you need to enjoy the outdoors.

“very nice pics, Mitch!! The colors up there are much prettier than down here in southern PA. We're not quite at peak yet.

I'll have to get up there next year for a fall hike. I just reminded myself the other day that for the first year in a while, I haven't been on the LT.”

“Went for a few short hikes into the Loyalsock State Forest. Visited Mill Creek Falls, cascades and slides along Hoagland Branch, and some rock outcrops off of the Loyalsock Trail.
