Apple Hill

“I'm planning a day at Apple Hill this weekend. Just before Halloween, is a grea ttime to be in the area, and partaking of all the goodies! It's East of Sacramento, other side of downtown Placerville...

Either way, I might be able to meet up w you! When I go up there I usually buy a bunch of apples & dehydrate / make my own apple-chips for trail snacks, YUM!”

“True, there will be crowds there... but late Fall & Winter in the Foothills is not nearly as colorful there as early to mid-Fall. I like my solitude, but here, I have a mission - to secure - early - my ration of cobbler, pie, and dumpling - not to mention cider - and still have time to go back for more. I don't plan on setting up camp there. Going in "after the rush" will likely be my second time in!!
