Eerie similarities between Meyer's story and his relationship with the media, and my story and relationship with many trailtalkers.

Sass, birch, Hyway, Nimble, (just from today) and many others ... You're quick to jump to false assumptions and point the finger, but the realities are much different.

Sometimes speaking up for what is right is worth the unpopularity of it. People will inevitably jump to ridiculous conclusions (a purposeful prankster?), but they are still wrong in the end, no matter how many people they convince otherwise.

Politicians are not used to being asked the hard questions. I think free speech has been willfully discarded to an extent by American journalists. They have stopped asking questions that matter. Maybe their refusal to be vocal is what makes my outburst look so surprising in contrast.

That tool sounds as stupid today as he did when they tased him. His conspiracy theories cloud his judgement and his actions.

What a loser.

Nevertheless, he didn't pull any of the pranks everyone thought he did. The media was so sure this guy was a prankster, and everyone believed them. Well, losers believed them. Losers believe the media without question. Losers.

Politicians skate by these days (and probably in the past, too) without answering tough questions or giving specific answers. Too many are willing to grant them puff interviews as well.

Just look at how many of the current crop (of Pres candidates) won't go on what they perceive as adversarial news channels.

It's the floofification of America. Facts hurt people's heads. I blame MTV.

Eerie similarities between Spears' story and her relationship with the media, and my story and relationship with many trailtalkers.

Seacrest apparently woke Spears up when he called her for the interview, and at times she didn't seem to understand his questions. When Seacrest asked Spears whether the intense coverage of her recent troubles has been "overwhelming," she said, "Wait, what?"

However, she then said: "People talk and they say what they want at the end of the day, you know in the tabloids and in the magazines," she said. "But you just try to keep on doing what you do, like, you know, and as long as you know what's up and you know what's true, that's all that really matters, you know?"
