I'm going to take a try at having this be chatter, not fuego. It moved me to tears.

Read that before somewhere else, pedx.
Happy endings are nice.

The power of love is awesome to behold. I guess its gone around as an email, thats how I saw it. When I searched I only found it three places on the web and one of those was a fuego version.

I see the pictures, but only a brief portion of the story. Is it just pictures, or am I a moron?

There were more words in the email, basically just enough to tell you that he left his sweetheart behind to go to war - got tore up and burned in an insurgent attack and she stood by him in life and on the altar.

Here's what was included in one place:

Hi all,

My mom sent this to me and it brought tears to my eyes. It is a strong reminder that there are people out there that love unconditionally and deeply as we all know too well.

"There are no words to describe the pull at my heart for this couple. May God bless them in abundance.....and, all other troops in similar circumstances.

He had fought for the US in the War in IRAQ and after returning, he had got married to the girl he was in Love with... Real true Love indeed... Hats off...

She is such a one of the greatest women in the world

She sees with her heart. Pretty rare it seems in such an appearance oriented country. They are blessed to have each other.

Man, have you ever walked into a WalMart? I'm not so sure we're appearance oriented. Any country I've been in appearance was looked at pretty much the same as here.

Anyways, nice story! A little sad so many people are surprised by this, but great that he's happy.

I'll grant you that. It would be nice to be able to take for granted that love would endure after such devastating injuries.

I hope their love is stronger for what they went through.

aha. found it
[url]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ty_Ziegel[url]

thats where you can find out about the award the photo won:
Ty married his girlfriend Renee Kline in 2006. They live together in Illinois. Nina Berman's wedding portrait of Ty and Renee, "Wounded Marine Returns Home to Wed," won the World Press Photo competition for portraiture in 2007.[4] The World Press Photo competition is widely regarded as the most prestigious international award for photojournalism
