thanks Chuck - Westlake Hills at the moment, but that's corporate housing. Final placement is a litle up in the air.

You liking it out there LMG? Spring come to the mountains yet? I am a little closer to the big mountains I guess.

I hate moving
I've moved 13 times in the past 11 years. Last year alone I moved 3 times with my 3 kiddos. I just bought a house and will be moving in 4 weeks. This one is local so not so bad I guess. Hoping to stay put for a while.

Hope you're enjoying TX. I've never lived there. GA was the hottest for me and that was bad enough.

Love it out here, Y2...L-O-V-E it! We had some hot temps last weekend - high 80's even. That combined with the huge amounts of snow in the mountains we got is making for some fun flooding. The temps have lowered again but now it's pouring rain for 4 days. Ugh. Tonight and tomorrow, we are supposed to get 30-50 inches of snow above 6000'.

We were going to head into Glacier NP for the long weekend...but the snow/rain/flooding might keep us out. Bah!

I do miss Austin. If you don't have a blast there, you'll have a lot to answer for Y2.

Hot enough for you today, Y2? My car overheated driving in Ft. Worth.

I'm camping on the Brazos River next weekend, cause that will be cooler and there's almost no place to backpack around here. I'll try to do a weekend at Lake Georgetown with some of the locals before I jet to CA (assuming that will happen). I'll let you know and maybe you can come out and say howdy.

The AC is working overtime til I adjust at least. I still gotta work on my Texas accent though.

The Texas accent is an amazing thing. You never hear it on t.v. You have to be born into it. It's dying out though - very few of the kids around here have it.

People from the northeast trying to talk Tex are a hoot. The only part they get right is turning "i" to "ah."

Austin is a great place. Of course, I haven't lived there since '92 and I heard it's changed a bunch. I lived off of Spicewood Springs Rd. about 4 miles from 360 and 2.5 miles from 183. Enjoy it..always a lot going on.

I lived in an apartment Longview St. (one of those horse-shoe shaped complexes that feel like overgrown motels) once I escaped the dorms while at UT. There were horses on a property on Windsor (or was it still 24th?) on the way to Sunday Dinner at my Grandad's - he lived on Wooldridge Ave.

He used to have two adjacent house lots around 28th - one for his garden and one for his home - where my Mom grew up.
