And if I could get on my soapbox for a moment...A big thank you to the servicemembers' families for their service. I highly recommend the book "Shared Courage" to get an idea of the life of a military spouse.


One more important thank you...to the people who show their appreciation for servicemembers with more than a token yellow ribbon magnet on the back of their vehicle. Specifically on this board I would thank Birch, Sass, Upluver, Mary, Crazy Mike, Spirit Coyote, WoundedKnee, and Violin in my own personal situation.”

“Whenever I meet a fellow-veteran, or a current member of the U.S. military, I always offer a handshake and a "Thank You!" for their service to our country. I think it's much better to "send the flowers" BEFORE the funeral.
