this may have been my favorite stay on all of the AT, and im wanting to stay there again at the end of a long trail hike next year.

i understand that they are open on weekends only in september and october. does anyone know if thats the plan for next year, and if so, can you still tent if you come by in the middle of the week?

I believe thats going to be the case next year.

There is this fuego and gossip site called thebackpacker.com which has some good backpacking info in it's AT database. In April of this year, UGP Caretaker says "You are welcome to sleep on the porch or tent camp any time."
