Cushy camping for sure, but a great winter escape close to home also.” 6:53:24 AM 12/27/07 “Awsome photos Patsquach....” 7:03:56 AM 12/27/07 “Thanks. I'll have to send the photo of Handlebar to the Sportkilt site for their hall of fame.” 7:06:01 AM 12/27/07 “Nice winter pics! makes me eager to get out of town. ![]() Winter Stream ![]() Ski tour from Methow Valley to Stehekin, Washington. Scanned from a 30 year old slide. ![]() Another one from a ski tour from Methow Valley to Stehekin. Each skier crossing this icy gulley cut a layer of snow off, and it went sliding down the icy gulley. We did not want to fall at this spot, and carrying a 60 pound pack did not make the skiing any easier. Scanned from a 30 year old slide. ![]() More recent winter shot at Banner Ridge, Idaho. Cutting snow blocks for building a shelter.” 7:35:06 AM 12/27/07 Trip to Glacier “All those pics are breath taking!!! It is a 70 mile trail with designated camping areas and shelters are via reservation @ $3/night per person (PA residents) and $4/person for everyone else. This is not a dificult trail and the only significant hills are in the southern 6 miles. It is perfect for groups and is used heavily in warmer weather. That is typically why I go in the winter.” 3:01:34 PM 12/27/07 “hmmm that just went up on my TO-DO list thanks” 3:26:53 PM 12/27/07 “C:\Documents and Settings\Compaq_Administrator\Desktop\My Webshots Photos (redbyrd107)(2)\NCH 050.jpg” 7:40:00 PM 12/27/07 “Guess that didn't work. :p” 7:43:24 PM 12/27/07 7:50:40 PM 12/27/07 “incredible photos songbyrd, hope you have more to show.” 3:35:08 AM 12/28/07 “yes, especialy the full blown sunset.
