I loved the line about "Randall's fire".

And got hungry thinking about the tenderloins at Cabin Restaurant. No flies were seen, I assume.

Good trip report Golfhiker! Hey, I couldn't sleep on Saturday night and wasn't feeling super, so I packed it in and headed home. It was good seeing everyone.

Golfhiker, you did well. I believe your report summed it up well. It was nice meeting and hiking with new people. I had a great time...it was just great to be outside! See everyone soon.

PS: Randall, your name came up quite alot over the weekend...

That Don’t Sound Right!!
Are you guys sure there weren’t any drugs involved??? No gratuitous sex around the campfire?? What about group hallucinations and some good old fashioned paranoia thrown in fer good measure!! Sounds kinda unconventional ta me, at least for a Deem trip!! Always good to hear that I was in everyone’s thoughts and not on their list. Fire?? What’s all this about a fire?? Gee, I wonder why some things just stick around forever!!
See ya later.

I just escaped Spirit Coyote's basement.

Actually, I have been out of comission since the trip with the flu and a temp of 103.8

That must explain why I was shivering so bad that I had leave at 3:30AM. WG was gone when I left.

I'll post cave pictures on the trip site soon.

Well, I'm left scratching my head and not knowing what to say. That's pretty much how I felt Sunday morning too. and Saturday night. Come to think of it I felt that way all weekend. It was a long strange trip. Yep, that sums it up. Coyote, thanks again for the fire wood, and the gravy. That was really good, and just the thing on a cold morning.

I feel for ya Fenderbender. I'm sick now too. No fever, but I have an ugly cough developing in my chest.

I gotta tell ya, it was pretty weird going to bed with a bunch of cars around, and waking up with them missing.

What's all this about little green men? I think I missed something there.

I see a pic of mother natures phallic ice sicle made it to site. LOL!

Hey I thought that UFO crash was near Peeper not Blackwell. I guess they could have walked that far though. That was like, ten years ago or something. SC knows more about that than me.

Some friends and I made it down Sat. afternoon and parked at Blackwell-opposite end from your group I guess! Anyway, we hiked to Cope Hollow along the re-routed trail. The FS didn't ask me, but I approve! Nice and dry (mostly) no more back and forth across the creek. Camped at Bass Pond-frozen over (mostly) I played on it a bit, no one else would. Some previous occupants left a BUNCH of firewood in the form of Survivorman/Man vs. Wild makeshift shelters. We left a note thanking them, telling them we'd be back for the rest:-)

Hey we saw your cars over there! You should have come and said hello. Did you pass us on the trail too? We passed one large group, and one other couple.

Coyote
I'll keep an eye on that website. Thanks for the info.

I am having a hard time deciding if it was just me having a high fever that caused me to be so cold or if I need a new bag.

I was fine at the mobfest last year.

It is funny, because I was looking at a bag that I liked that was within a dollar of the new fly rod I have been eyeing for the last four months. Looks like I have some decisions to make. Or maybe I will get them both.

I think MG should lighten up on the Knob Creek. I mean, with all those little green men walking around and he didn't even see them.

We should of said hey, but we were too busy waiting on one our group. No didn't pass anyone else on the trail. Saw no one at all in the woods:-)
