T - great to hear from you!! You know that there are a lot of people out here who will help you get back out on the trail (where you belong).

We'll get her back out there. Even if it takes a rope, duct tape, and lots of screaming!

Wow! Home again already! It took me 5-6 weeks in the hospital! :-)

The body will repair itself, just S L O W....
Is the right arm the one effected by the stroke?

Yes, the right arm. Seems I have full use of it now though. I got my speech back the first night. I was in sever pain on the left side of my face, ear and neck and went down a few hours later. No hemmoraging in the head. Now they just need to figure out what caused it. They don't see plaque there but possibly swelling like a growth. That's why they couldn't do surgery or a stench.

The docs are scratching their heads....again. A healthy 47 year old, non-smoker, exercises, eats right and watches her weight. Go figure.
We plan to get some answers somewhere.
In the mean time... I plan to slowly re-introduce myself to the trail. My plan is to be on the "Lost Coast" trip by Memorial weekend and then hopefully still do the 80 mile portion on the JMT I have been planning. I hear from Marty (Bowlderman) that I could rent a satellite phone for trail emergencies.
Thank you all for sending me possitive thoughts and Prayers.
Thank you Maria and Carol for keeping everyone updated

Nice to see you post songbyrd! If you are ever around Virginia, you got a hiking buddy. Have a wonderful Christmas.
