Need help with trail guides
I am looking for hikers anywhere in the U.S. to help add trail profiles to a new free trail guide website. Anyone interested in adding their favorite hike? www.makingtrackschallenge.com

Thank you!

I wonder if you could add the hikes profiled by backpacker magazine? The have gps coordinates to places on the route, and its not like they invented or discovered any of those routes. I would not copy any of their text, but the general route, and the gps positions of lakes or features on the routes, I don't think that would be under copyright.

Whoever put in Clingmans Dome -- to the best of my knowledge it is in TN, not NC.

Since many volunteer trail maintaining groups in the East at least, derive the major proportion of what revenue they get from map and guide sales (memberships don't help, hikers are generally too damn cheap to join), how does this site help the trails stay around?

Hey now, how else is this "Shari" person going to pay for "her" copy of "How to make money on the Internet" and get click-through ad revenue unless we build up the database for "her"?
