Need help with trail guides

“I wonder if you could add the hikes profiled by backpacker magazine? The have gps coordinates to places on the route, and its not like they invented or discovered any of those routes. I would not copy any of their text, but the general route, and the gps positions of lakes or features on the routes, I don't think that would be under copyright.”

“Since many volunteer trail maintaining groups in the East at least, derive the major proportion of what revenue they get from map and guide sales (memberships don't help, hikers are generally too damn cheap to join), how does this site help the trails stay around?”
