Still sux!” 1:08:59 PM 2/09/10 want more? “I am a disgruntled laid off autoworker and just giddy that toyota's time has come. I wish all American's the best, but if you are stupid enuf to buy this pos then you need to think about that the next time you hit the brakes. your lives and your family's safety is at stake.” 1:18:06 PM 2/09/10 “Yeah...i did peek..Karo if you ex UNION THUG auto workers had actually built something that would sell (you know the whole supply and demand thing) maybe you would be in business. As for safety, I have been trained more often to investigate failures of AMERICAN vehicles....” 1:38:05 PM 2/09/10 “Karo, I used to buy GM and have owned both Ford and Chrysler products. But it's the attitude that you're showing in this thread which is the same attitude you used when you built the cars. They failed me which means it was your fault since you built them. I have over 468,000 miles on my Honda and Toyotas without a single accident or a single repair, including one that made it 150,000 miles before needing brake pads, rotors, or spark plug wires. My 01 TransAm made it to 36K just out of warranty before it started breaking down left and right. My Tundra was built in Indiana by American's who were paid a fair wage, not a thug whiney #&%!$ "i didn't grajiate hi school but give me lots a money cuz i'm union" wage. It contains 80% domestic parts content, higher than ANY other "American truck". So it supports more UAW and auto parts workers than any other full size truck. 80% of the cost of those parts goes 100% to American companies that are not Toyota. I'm proud that Ford didn't take bailout money and have increased their quality, something GM and Chrysler need to do as soon as they pay us hardworking non-union people back. I would buy a Ford, or at least consider it, if I was in the market for a car...but seeing as my Honda and Toyota's will last forever, that'll be awhile. Thanks for displaying the attitude and ethic that got GM into the mess they are in now, I understand it completely. Just think, you helped me buy Toyota by building a crappy product, you helped Toyota become #1 in sales while helping GM go bankrupt. It was all you.” 2:00:52 PM 2/09/10 “Still not sure how Toyota fixing 2 issues with a vehicle equates them to being a POS. They certainly appear to be taking care of their customers. Wonder how Chevrolet and Dodge would fair if we held them to the same standards regarding recalls.” 2:03:03 PM 2/09/10 “The Union thugs deserve what they get. It's basically a ponzie scheme when it comes to their ridiculous pensions, Cadillac plans, and bloated salaries. Add to that the corruption of the Union bosses and the dammage they've done to the economy....I hope GM and Chevy go under anyway and I'll never buy another one, ever. Other than that Karo, you're a great guy.... ”2:14:26 PM 2/09/10 “Buy Volkswagen!” 2:35:59 PM 2/09/10 “Toyota Sux! Still sux!” 2:43:59 PM 2/09/10 “Toyota Sux! Still sux!” 2:44:13 PM 2/09/10 “Toyota Sux! Still sux!” 2:44:35 PM 2/09/10 “Toyota Sux! Still sux!” 2:45:04 PM 2/09/10 “I wonder about those self-described patriots who would rather send their money overseas than buy an American Union-made car. They may be made in the US but the Serious Cash goes Offshore. Now hop in your Honda and drive to MalWart. Thanks for nothing ----” 2:47:08 PM 2/09/10 “Toyota's troubles: A timeline LINK Since 2007, issues with brakes, floor mats and gas pedals have resulted in the recall of over 10 million vehicles and landed the Japanese carmaker in trouble. 2007 MARCH: Toyota receives reports about an accelerator pedal glitch in its Tundra model. The car in the lane next to me (right lane) was exiting onto a cloverleaf ramp. It seemed to be going fast. Then I noticed white tail lights as if it was in reverse. So I thought maybe the red plastic in their tail lights were missing. As I continued on I watched as the car shot off the cloverleaf and rolled. I was there when all five passengers crawled out of the overturned car. Thankfully, it seemed like they were basically okay. At least they were standing. The man driving, who was obviously dazed, said he couldn't get the car to slow down. The gas pedal was stuck. He tried to throw the car into neutral to no avail. What gave me pause was that it was a 2002 Corolla, not part of any recall. Yet. You can bet that sort of thing is on my mind as I drive my '03 RAV.” 4:16:49 PM 2/09/10 Ruby “Wow, that's scary, I trully am glad no one was hurt. I really don't wish anyone any harm. It just gets old with all the bashing. I would never get on here and bash your jobs. Too much meds this morning (I just had an outpt. procedure)and I went off on some suckers. I now know who to permenantly put on ignore, that's for sure. If I pissed some of you off, well think about that for a minute and let it sink in real good. With all the shared suppliers that the auto companies have now it could happen to most any car maker. The UAW does its best to get the best (safest) suppliers it can do business with but our hands are tied now so that we have no input to these decisions. Toyota got cheaper parts on some vehicles and now it will cost them. Saturn used the Toyota Quality system to set up the plant in the beginning then went and took it further to improve the quality to world class standards. Ya'll be careful out there now in them Toyotas so we can meet up again at the trailhead, Happy Hiking, karo” 6:38:55 PM 2/09/10 “The "cheaper" part in question that caused the entire fiasco was made by CTS, a 100% American company. Non of the Japanese made cars such as Camry's (made in US and Japan, engine proudly made in WV where Toyota saved the local economy by providing many jobs) are subject to the recall. The Japanese part supplier given the same specs had no issues with their pedals. And for the record I've been in a car as a passenger with the pedal stuck, it was an 88 Ford Escort that was 9 years old with less than 50K on it. Pedal stuck all the time.” 7:08:11 PM 2/09/10 “We've finally found one of those legendary Blame America First types.” 7:56:59 PM 2/09/10 “Tilt, got a big question for you...what is more American? A Toyota built in Tennessee by American Workers or a Chrysler built in Canada?” 6:05:19 AM 2/10/10 “Ruby, sounds scary but I don't buy it. You throw the car in neutral and hit the brake, the car will stop. It has been proven time and time again. I think the guy wasn't telling all the truth.” 3:43:59 PM 2/10/10 Jump to Page << prev
